We are interested in the V50, but have not been able to find crash test ratings. One dealer said to look at the s40, as it's a version of that, but those ratings are 5 star, all around (think the front driver side was four star). any ideas why the v50 has not undergone these tests? thanks!

Can't discuss safety ratings because there aren't any on the usual USA sites. I have a really hard time justifying buying this car when I have no idea how it will hold up when an SUV plows into my side. Are there equivalent European ratings we can refer to?
