Replying to: pf_flyer (Oct 30, 2006 12:13 pm) I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with my 2005 V50 T5. I've had it since July '05 and have about 25K miles. So far, have only had the radio freeze issue. But after a software upgrade, haven't had a problem since. Occasionally the radio stations change by themselves. I think there may be some vibration in the dash or something. As for fuel, the dealer told me I could use regular gas so long as I used it from the start and never switched between grades.   My most recent problem began a week ago. I pulled up to a red light and heard this loud squeaky whining sound...like a belt needed replaced. I went to the dealer that afternoon and they took it in. Said they'd get to it when they found a spot in their schedule. It's been over a week and they still haven't had time to look at it?!? Anyway...when the dipstick was removed, the sound subsided. When pushed all the way back in, the sound came back and the mechanic and myself heard the rubber seals being pressured (like they were being forced out?) I'm not a big car buff but I know the basics. What on earth could this be? But it sounds like I have a major engine problem on my hands. Has anyone else had such a problem?
