One had something to do with emissions, but the other one was to reprogram the computer such that the turbo stays on longer. So instead of cutting out at around 4K, you get boost all the way to 6K rpms. It's worth it... it makes a huge difference in power. No negatives, except that mileage drops about 2-4%.
