New owner..2006 MS6 w/ navi and roof by whitfoc

I bought a titanium grey Speed6 with roof, navi, wheel locks, moonroof deflector off of Ebay with 5200 miles and drove it back home, about 1200 miles. Here are my comments:
Car handles and accelerates great! Heated seats warm up quickly which I like, but do not care for the switch placement. Power lumbar would also be nice.
Navi is nice, but I dislike the fact that you have to be stopped in order to use it. Would be better if it were touch screen like Honda/Acura. Love the red back lighting at night, but the mirror and lock switches should also light up. Moonroof should also be illuminated as well as be one touch open and close. Carpet and floormats are cheap and I don't suspect they will hold up well. Having satellite radio option installed, but having the antenna painted to match the car. Think the black plastic looks cheap. The one on our TL is body painted and looks much cleaner.
Wheels are a pain to clean, but I am somewhat of a clean car freak. Looking at other options for wheels.. maybe the RX-8 wheels.

The car stickered for a little over $33K, and I stole it for $23K. Wishing it was Black Mica, but for the price I couldn't beat it!

Anyone notice their brake calipers rusting? I am wondering if this is just from the salt water air in Florida. I am going to ask for them to be replaced. If they will not do it, I am thinking of having them painted to match the body color.

Impressions After 4 Months... To be traded by bolosmith

As a long time Mazda owner and the owner of a 2004 Mazda 6 V6/5speed, traded in at 60K miles for this 2006 MazdaSpeed6, I have a couple of things to say. The MS6 I own is a piece of junk that has had rear end whine since 1100 miles, has chewed up 2 sets of front tires in 3400 miles, has had a CEL a coupla times, and most importantly, Mazda will not keep their word. I've not driven this car for 6 weeks which is how long Mazda took to decide what to do after renegging on a promise of a buy it back and replace with another different Mazda. They just decided 2 weeks ago to replace the rear differential and just put another set of tires on it without really knowing just is chewing them up... This is the supposed final fix before the lemon law kicks in, and I'm praying it does. Dealerships, sales persons, and the district service manager have all been fine. Mazda North America is not to be trusted and will not stand behind their cars. Their customer service center is worthless. This will be my last Mazda (after 6 of them), and the sooner I get rid of it the better.

"...has had a CEL a coupla times..."?

CEL. Is that a closed-end lease?

RECALLS by ccletzgo

I own a perfect 2006 mazda speed6. I bought it in december of 05. I have never experianced the power shut down that others have.

I was in for an oil changed last month and they said it needed a few recalls done, but it would have to be left a few hours. I said, later, I'll call and make an appointment.
I feel like "dont fix what isnt broken" here. I had a brand new 2000 lincoln LS, that was never the same after its recalls. The car Never, ever ran right again.

Can anyone shed some light on what these recalls affect and experiances after the calls were done?

I also have an 06 that has not had any problems. I did have the recalls done. One had something to do with emissions, but the other one was to reprogram the computer such that the turbo stays on longer. So instead of cutting out at around 4K, you get boost all the way to 6K rpms. It's worth it... it makes a huge difference in power. No negatives, except that mileage drops about 2-4%. But that may just be me sticking my foot into it more.
