I did not see anything on the Porsche in the site. Just a WRX with SnowTrax. Notice they took it in the shop after a short run. The SnowTrax are a maintenance nightmare. wanna good laugh? Gore Denies He Is Profiting From Global Warming Big Liar

She absolutely hates it. The body odors of the homeless she can live with. The fellow throwing up in the aisle of the bus was horrible. Not to mention the people coughing, sneezing and spreading germs all over everyone. I am so thankful I have never been put into a situation like that. Public transit is just an extension of the Urban Cesspools we have created in this country. Driving across America, we saw millions of acres that are uninhabited and unused. We need to spread out more. Tear down the big cities and send people out in the country. |

Replying to: larsb (Nov 03, 2009 9:18 am) I've described the racism and mental health issues my children experienced riding the bus so it's not all flowers and cupcakes as you would wish to believe. A local car dealer has taken advantage of this perception in his car ads. He touts the benefit of getting away from the "germs and the creepy guy" on the bus as a reason to buy his cars.

In some cities in the USA, that MIGHT mean that the majority are people without sufficient means to drive themselves. In Europe, many middle-class people take public transportation and even members of the upper-echelon pay grades do so. In the USA, in some cases, it's merely people who take the bus for convenience. Or because they were caught drunk driving and lost their license for a while. Or who want to ride their bikes to work and because of the distance, must take a bus part of the way. Or who are college students whose parents decided a car in a city with sufficient public transportation is a waste of money. Or a high school kid whose parents are unable to drive them to school but the bus/train/subway works fine. Or a member of a two-job/one-car family whose week it is to NOT have the car. Public transportation is not merely for the destitute and the down-trodden. People who try to make it seem that way are putting a black eye on something which does not deserve said black eye. |
