about 1 month ago we had our 2nd day of the year above 80 degrees. We had a comfortable spring. It changed about 2-3 weeks ago to hot but still low humidity. I want to go to NH for vacation but the boys don't want to go anywhere. I saw some great airfares to Manchester in early June. What is chance of a mostly sunny week and 70 degree water in July?

The tax burden is a drop in the bucket compared to the wealth hit caused by the banking/wall street/pension fiasco. But I digress.
No one saw that Darryl Hannah and *surprise* James Hansen got arrested?
Hansen of NASA Arrested in Coal Country (NY Times)
Oh, Hansen doesn't favor cap-and-trade either and opposes the bill the House just passed.

The later half of July the lakes are usually 70F; I've never seen the ocean above 65F in NH. If you want warmer ocean water, you need to be on the south-facing beaches of Cape Cod in August.
Manchester is served by Southwest and is really a great little airport.
Most of the hotels have indoor pools though, so that tells you a lot about global-warming not being an issue. I would never invest in an outdoor pool around here.

Doesn't Darryl Hannah (I think I spelled that backwards ) realize that high CO2 levels are great for the rain-forests? She was on the wrong side of the protest!

I thought she was more of a beach person but I can't say I know a whole lot about her politics.

Who do you think is going to get rich buying/selling/exchanging carbon credits, setting up new derivatives etc. WALL STREET !! But I digress.
The costs we consumers will pay if this becomes law will dwarf everything else in our history. It is pure GREED by politicians at our expense. Votes today are not based on what the people want, they are based on what the politicians can personally get out of it.

I don't think they have voted yet. Boehner is reading the 300 page amendment that was tossed into the bill over night. What a sleazy bunch those Dems are. I am hoping for a repeat of 1994. Vote every one of those Democrats out of office in 2010. How much pork do you figure they added in those 300 pages to get a few more Democrats off the fence.
As of 6:15 PM EDT he was up to page 34, with all the interruptions. Waxman would like to shut any one up that questions his bill.

The only hope left for our country is a flaky Senate. Maybe they will have some common sense about this whole Cap N Trade BS bill. Too bad NKorea is so far from Washington DC.

Boehner is a Senator; it was the House that passed cap-and-trade earlier today. Senate passage is another story, and it's unlikely that they'll just adopt the House bill even if support for passage is there. And it's hard to say that support is there - there's a lot of coal, oil and electric utility money floating around the Senate.
Did anyone mention that Jerry Brown has dropped the global warming lawsuit against the automakers ? (Sfgate.com). The new administration made that suit and appeal unnecessary (at least to AG Brown).
