One pundit compared it to three CEO's going to a soup kitchen in tuxedos. link title Wouldn't it be embarrassing if he had a break down? (see I told cha we shoulda flew the private but soon to be publically owned jet/s) The Chysler CEO knows better and will fly, albeit commercial! TSK ! Of course compared to how the President of the USA to to the Speaker of the House rolls..... |

34 BILLION and growing!? If the Demos are really concerned about the so called "little guy" here is a modest proposal. Give a ( big three) TAX CREDIT and/or/both voucher on the purchase of a 2008/2009 MY vehicle. It is truly interesting it is coming to light the deal to make the SUV's/Truck segment being the a"prime segements" with the unions to fund the 30-50 year bloated auto logistics system. The party has LONG since been over !!! |

You are an oppressed minority and need to be compensated. Bus in some protesters to make your case. Legislation should be passed. You have rights! While we are all sitting around another poor SUV is being burned somewhere in this country by eco-nazis.

For those that think the GW Cult is not in this for the money, just hang on. BOB JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer – Fri Dec 5, 4:43 am ET MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For farmers, this stinks: Belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if a federal proposal to charge fees for air-polluting animals becomes law. Farmers so far are turning their noses up at the notion, which is one of several put forward by the Environmental Protection Agency after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that greenhouse gases emitted by belching and flatulence amounts to air pollution. "This is one of the most ridiculous things the federal government has tried to do," said Alabama Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, an outspoken opponent of the proposal. It would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog. The executive vice president of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation, Ken Hamilton, estimated the fee would cost owners of a modest-sized cattle ranch $30,000 to $40,000 a year. He said he has talked to a number of livestock owners about the proposals, and "all have said if the fees were carried out, it would bankrupt them." It is our STINKING EPA gone crazy. It will only get worse.

Replying to: gagrice (Dec 05, 2008 2:01 pm) That is similar to a proposal here in NY to consider each farm animal as a "point source" of pollution. That was the radical Vegan's plan to bankrupt farmers by making them pay penalties as if each cow was a toxic waste dump. Pure insanity by people who's idea of nature is a Disney movie. Perhaps we should outlaw Vegans as it has been shown that a non-animal diet results in more belching and flatulence.
