Ford has the popular Escape hybrid, the new Fusion Hybrid coming out, it also has the new Ford Fiesta about to hit that gets over 40 mpg. Your just blind. A Fiery Czech Is Poised to Be the Face of Europe Decades later, Mr. Klaus, the 67-year-old president of the Czech Republic — an iconoclast with a perfectly clipped mustache — continues to provoke strong reactions. He has blamed what he calls the misguided fight against global warming for contributing to the international financial crisis, branded Al Gore an “apostle of arrogance” for his role in that fight, and accused the European Union of acting like a Communist state.   As a former finance minister and prime minister, he is credited with presiding over the peaceful 1993 split of Czechoslovakia into two states and helping to transform the Czech Republic into one of the former Soviet bloc’s most successful economies.   But his ideas about governance are out of step with many of the European Union nations that his country will lead starting Jan. 1.   While even many of the world’s most ardent free marketeers acknowledged the need for the recent coordinated bailout of European banks, Mr. Klaus lambasted it as irresponsible protectionism. An interesting article that actually mentions other GHG's such as methane and nitrous oxide.   http://www.usatoday.com/weather/climate/globalwarming/2008-11-25-greenhouse-gase- s-record-highs_N.htm   Methane is about 30X more potent than CO2 as a GHG.   I wonder whether the methane is mainly due to human-leaks, or more likely natural venting?

Do the GW models of the climate include the methane mentioned above. Maybe; but I doubt they include things like the following.   http://blogs.usatoday.com/sciencefair/2008/11/cosmic-ray-hots.html   What effect does this extra radiation have on heating the atmosphere or ionizing it and creating chemical reactions in the air?   Oh how little we understand, and yet Mr. Gore and his paid-for-scientists would have you believe we must drastically change our lifestyle. Replying to: kernick (Nov 25, 2008 1:32 pm) I would think NOT, as the examples you mentioned are NOT sound bite able and are normally relegated to fonts sizes less than the fine print on those sped read advertisements. and as filler. Conversely, they are sensationalized on rags like the National Enquirer, probably as a follow on to articles like: "The Aliens After They Abducted Me, Let Me Drive Their FLYING Saucer".
