Just getting the room ready... by pf_flyer HOST

Seriously, name the last vehicle that somebody didn't have a question on the engine.

It doesn't even necessarily have to be a "problem". Could be as simple a question as "Will the 2.4L, inline 4 really be enough to tow as much as the spec sheet says?"

Patience!

No, it won't. There, question answered...

Besides, wouldn't you expect the person to go ahead and open a "Towing with the Hybrid Vue" forum?

Brand loyalties can create disputes and perceptions of insult when none are intended.

The Prius forum (also hosted by pf_flyer) has: Brake Issues, Steering and Suspension Issues, Steering Shaft Issues and Software Problems...

All vehicles have Issues, and new models with new technology will almost always have more Issues.

I wasn't aware my response wasn't civil; I was expressing my opinion, which applies to just about any hybrid - don't tow!

I just think that we should allow people to open forums because they have a problem, otherwise users will click on the new forum, only to find it has no entries that pertain to the topic. (Which was the second point of my post).

It's no big deal - thus far, this vehicle hasn't generated tons of conversation, so it doesn't make sense to break down the topics into tiny ones. If an issue sparks enough conversation to warrant its own topic, we'll certainly create one and move posts.

You knowledgeable folks can just concentrate on talking about the vehicles that you love, or love to hate, and we hosts will focus on the task of management

Well, I've really been hoping that some people would buy the green line, so I can get some actual owner information. It is an interesting concept.

Does the Vue hybrid also have a flex-fuel engine? I have looked everywhere trying to find an answer. In fact does any hybrid come coupled with flex-fuel?

Hi All,

Talk about under the hood issues, on of the most crucial appears to be electrical/harness/battery issuers that could result in the vehicle going dead on the road. Go to the other threads to learn more about this.

If you want to file a complaint with the NHTSA then go the the website listed below. It can be completed on-line.

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

You will need your vehicle sale and VIN info in addition to the dealer info. It would also be helpful to have the tech-doc codes from your repair receipt.

I just filed my complaint. Hope you all do the same as relates to the harness and battery problems. With only 6350 of these sold the problems listed here represent a significant percentage.

No complaint, no action, its that simple!!!!

nice to know these are showing up in junk yards at this point. This will allow pricing to be reasonable on parts as well.
