Nope, they switched to the "High-Feature" 3.6L V6. The 3.5 is gone.

The SRX has never had a 3.5 liter V6. The CTS started out with an Opel V6, but it was not a 3.5 either.

11 months old and at 12000 miles I have had to replace the following: 1 battery, 6 tires from various positions, 2 front wheels, a timing chain, a steering rack, a rear CV joint, and that does not include the repaired sun roof problem, the repaired front a/c vent and some other piece of plastic at the rear hatch.....and yesterday I found out about a national recall on this car for the rear axle spindle.....yes the Georgia Lemon Law papers have been filed, Jan. 14, 2008 is the deadline for GMAC to make a decesion on this leased piece of ca-ca!!!!! If they are smart, and not pencil pushers, they will substite this car for a 2008 for the remainder of the lease.

Oh by the way, they tell me that the vibration/rumble that I have been complaining about is natural for this car...only told me that after I filed the papers, and not the 4 previous times car was brought in for this problem....very interesting their timing on this discovery.....

Kudos to the servicing, not selling dealer, Classic Cadillac here in Atlanta as I always had a temp Cady available for me to drive and were extremly nice and helpful.

Oh if I could only have my '96 Allante back, oil leaks and all!!! oh I fogot, that engine dropped a cylinder....yet I keep coming back to Cadillac, it must be the humidity!!

I have more than 10,000 miles on my 2007 and have not had any serious problems that required a trip to the dealer. I did have a dead battery, probably because I was trying out stuff when it was new, once.

I hope that you do realize that the SRX is more sports car than luxury barge.

sports car or luxury barge, either way the number of problems is outrageous for a 11 month old car, in fact the GM contact in Dearborn when I called couldn't believe it when I told him we have replaced 6 tires and 2 wheels in 9 months, yet the problem still exists...
the vibration is "possible characteristic of vehicle", per the service tech.....however dealership hasn't had one other complaint about this problem from any other SRX owner.....first 4 times they found bad tires/wheels, after filing the "legal"papers, the answer is "possible characteristic"...which really means...they have no idea why car has vibration, and cannot keep blaming Goodyear....would love to know if anyone else has this problem!!!!

This is how you fix out of balance tires:
You shouldn't have to replace tires and wheels.

I have Goodyear tires on my 2007 SRX. I have the 20 inch wheels and 255/50 tires on all four wheels. Do you have wheel locks? Were they GM's? If they are not the same weight as the other lug nuts, they could cause a balance problem and vibrations.

The timing chain would have required tearing down the engine. Do you have the V6 or the V8? The sun roof does need to be kept clean or it will cause some problems. I have had none, but seldom open it.

factory wheels, no locks, I guess they are the 17" tires, I know they aren't the 20' because I am to cheap to spend the extra $$$$
also I have the V6 and the car was in the shop for 2 weeks for the chain issue...

the vibration is not due to out of balance tires otherwise the dealer would be having other customers complaining as well.
41, 76-70 and 79-81 mph are when the rumble is most apparent in the steering wheel....

If the vibrations are showing up in the steering wheel then the problem is in the front wheels. Even if the wheels are balanced perfectly, any out of balance stuff on the front that rotates (like the brake rotors for example) will vibrate.

I as well have a 2007 SRX4 and have had many issues with the vibrations - for the past 10 months I have been bring the car into the service center. They sent out engineers from Michigan to look at it. The engineers replaced the tires, drive shift, the whole rear end of the car - but they still can not figure out why my car vibrates at 40 and at 63. The service center, reginal manager, vibration engineers all acknowlegde the problem, but when they told higher managers they were not taking any more action. I not only have one of these cars but my wife has a 2007 SRX4 with the same problem. It seems with all the loaners they have given me the only SRX that does not vibrate is the model with the V8 engine. I have decided to contact a Attorney to resovle the matter. If you have any information that you could pass on to me to help in my case. Thank you.
