If the vibrations are showing up in the steering wheel then the problem is in the front wheels. Even if the wheels are balanced perfectly, any out of balance stuff on the front that rotates (like the brake rotors for example) will vibrate.

I as well have a 2007 SRX4 and have had many issues with the vibrations - for the past 10 months I have been bring the car into the service center. They sent out engineers from Michigan to look at it. The engineers replaced the tires, drive shift, the whole rear end of the car - but they still can not figure out why my car vibrates at 40 and at 63. The service center, reginal manager, vibration engineers all acknowlegde the problem, but when they told higher managers they were not taking any more action. I not only have one of these cars but my wife has a 2007 SRX4 with the same problem. It seems with all the loaners they have given me the only SRX that does not vibrate is the model with the V8 engine. I have decided to contact a Attorney to resovle the matter. If you have any information that you could pass on to me to help in my case. Thank you.

Several months ago after the regional factory rep drove the car, he agreed that a vibration did exist and had the dealer replaceall 4 tires again this time w/ 4 Michelins.......no difference....the factory jerk who I had been talking with in Mich. all of a sudden became a giant asshole and said that was it, we can't do anymore....well it wasn't it...I contacted a lawyer and just settled for a $4000 refund of my $4250 that was up front money on the lease......after my giving the lawyer $750 I net $3250 which is 8 months of free lease payments, and a definite to Detroit that I will never again buy another Cady, and not because of the dealer, but because of some jerk off making $35000 a year whose attitude simply pissed me off....GM will be just fine witout me, but I have talked atleast 3 of my neighbors out of buying this model and will do so to anyone who will listen.......GM you need to fire that schmuck!!!!! and u caught me on a good day!!!!!
by the way, I have come to find out that the Lemon Law in Georgia favors the MFG. big time....some consumer protection we have....be careful

The dealers service mgr and the owner of the dealership even wrote letters to the high ups at Cady, my dealer got some action with them sending "noise and vibration engineers, drove from Michigan Proving Grounds, we did the same thing tires/wheels (was Michelin and now Michelin), computer tuning, rear end and it still vibrates at 40+. the guys went back to Michigan and some higher up said stop! Not good for business, I've had clients in the car and it is embarrassing. I think its the v-6 drive train, I've taken 2008's v-6 as loners and they do the same thing, they have a design problem. I'm surprised more people haven't complained. If this keeps up I'm going to make noise, I wouldn't think Cady wants bad press. The v-8 is a different suspension, no vibration, ITS A CADILLAC! I would still go with one of those, I like the look and size of the vehicle.
I'm sending a letter to the dealer to replace or refund or my attorney is next and I'm told New York is customer friendly.
I'm glad to here you got a refund and I'm not happy with the number one American Luxury Car Company. I don't know what other car I would like, I do not want to buy foreign, but I may have too!

I don't think the V8 has a different suspension, but there may be some differences due the the added weight of the V8-perhaps a different spring rate. There is a different transmission in 2007, six speeds instead of five speeds. The V8 got 18 inch wheels too, where the V6 has the 17's standard.
I do know that some people are having problems with the CTS and DTS. I do find it surprising that you find all V6 to have the same problem as this should not be the case. My SRX is a V8, and I can't complain. I do find that the ride is firmer than my 2002 Seville Luxury sedan's (SLS) was, but this was expected.

I've had my SRX V6 for about 5 months, and have had no problems at all with it. I find at high speeds, it's very smooth and stable. I just find a little wind noise around the drivers mirror. I'll have the dealer take care of it when i bring it in for my 6 month free synthetic oil change.
