#1 of 5 Closest comparable make to a Mazda by zillah

There aren't any Mazda dealers around me and I'd like to take my old '96 626 into a dealer garage for maintenance because they tend to have all the parts on hand. Is there a manufacturer that is comparable to Mazda which may have interchangeable parts like perhaps Honda or Toyota or even GM?

Ford is your best bet, but I doubt there are many interchangable parts that a Ford dealer would stock for a '96 Mazda. Do you have an auto parts store in your town? They might be the best place to find parts for a '96 Mazda.

Hi,
I'm very lucky in that I live just a few miles from NAPA and Advance Auto Parts despite the lack in Mazda dealerships. Thanks for the tip. I wouldn't have thought an America car would be the closest. I just heard that Hondas were very interchangeable with just about everything and that Kias are the same as Hyundai. Didn't realize that.

Kia is controlled by Hyundai and some of their newer vehicles do share some engines and chassis pieces, but not much else. Ford has a controlling interest in Mazda.
