Replying to: lpmiller (Feb 16, 2009 5:08 pm) The recall affects the 2009 Mazda 6 with VIN Range of 1YV HP8**95 M00057 - M36656 (the * can be any letter or number) and Build Date from April 8, 2008 through November 7, 2008.   Some vehicles have already been repaired at the Ports.   My 6s GT is within that VIN Range so is one of those affected. I took my car to the local car wash today. As I pulled out I noticed water dripping on the inside of the car at the top of the door just opposite the driver's side mirror. I have a little grill there. It might be a microphone or a small speaker. The water was dripping from directly under that little grill. It wasn't a bad drip, but I know it shouldn't be there. The car is a 2009 Mazda 6i Grand Touring. Anyone else have this problem? Replies to this message: venture (Feb 18, 2009 5:53 am)

Replying to: vfontjr (Feb 17, 2009 7:01 pm) I don't have that problem.   Have your dealer take a look at it before it ruins the speaker.   Before I would do that though, I would try to duplicate the leak. Sit inside the car and do it again. If it was a hand spray wash, have someone else do the wash. Watch for the leak. Make sure the window is all the way up too (but it doesn't appear that it could be from a slightly open window).

I have 4300 miles on a Comet Gray Mazda 6 (2009). Just received a recall notices and took care to dealer on 1/21/09. Found rear passenger door handle in need of replacement. It is color coded and will take maybe 3 days to arrrive. Told it is a very quick procedure. Love the car, feels very solid and 4cyl is power enough for me in Maryland.
