I have a 6 i Touring and I was wondering what the engine redline is. The tach goes up to 7000 but there is no "red" portion. Is that because the engine redlines at 7000 and Mazda decided to to max the tach out at that? Or does redline occur before that mark and Mazda decided not to label the redline RPM? To the guy who said that you must floor it to motivate the car to move quickly, I disagree. In my experience, holding the throttle halfway is more than sufficient to "motivate" the engine.

Replying to: yankeekm91 (Oct 11, 2008 5:43 pm) Yes there is. You need to look closely. At 6,200 rpm's (I believe) the red hash marks become thicker all the way to the end of the tach....there is your red line. |

| I test drove the Mazda today, I liked everything but the dash, I think compared to my 2004 Mazda6 it is ugly. They should take a look at Infinitis designs. They have much better dashes. The V6 engine is scary fast, it felt faster than a G35 although at 305 vs 272 I can't imagine how it could be. | |

I've been deciding on an 09 M6 for the past few weeks and have been deciding on the i or the s and also trying to figure out the financing end of things. This forum has been very helpful. One thing that I noticed people talking about was the Private Launch Bonus of $1000. I saw posts on the forum that some people had gotten it and some haven't. Just to let you know, apparently they are still sending them out because I just got one two days ago. The offer expires on October 31st. I hope this helps.

I just got my 2009 Mazda 6 s Touring w/Convience Pkg.The whole process was smooth. This is what I paid: $26,700 OTD(Out The Door) Price $1,000 Private Launch cash Total: $25,700 OTD I got a great deal. My whole family loves my car. They all want to drive it. I love the head lights. You can see everything thats in front of you. The handling is great around tight corners. The brakes, sound system, and everything else is great on this car. My advice would be to get the v6. You'll have more fun with it. Trust Me
