Rattles by jkm900

I am having the same rattling problem with my subwoofer but only on certain frequencies. Most songs are fine but the R&B/Rap is what drives the rattles. Not sure if this can be fixed or not since it seems to only be a certain frequency. Thoughts?

XM reception in 2007 TL by new2cars

I don't get any reception underneath bridges. Is this normal? My friend said I should be able to with my factory-installed XM receiver.
Thank you for your advice and help!

Depends on the bridge, your location and the angle to the sat.
If the bridge blocks your line to the sat, it could cut the signal.
My 06 MDX XM cut out all the time, yet the XM installed in my G35 has not cut out yet... very weird.
I have Sirius installed as well.

Both will cut out but at different times.
Sirius and XM signals come in from different angles.
I can get XM when in a parking garage or under a gas station roof.
I can get Sirius when driving through the wooded areas or in the city surrounded by high buildings.

Both signals have their pros and cons.

Markspinosa,

I have the same exact issue in my 06'TL (bought it in July '06). I haven't been browsing the forums lately, but seems like MOST TL's have ratting issues. Anyways, glad ur sound is fixed ... mine is still coming from front passenger speakers ... been to dealer 8 times ... dont know what to do ...

WOW, this forum is loaded with ELS problems. I had a 05' TL and loved the stereo equipment. The speaker quality was crystal clear but like you I felt it wasn't powerful enough. If I recall correctly it only was a 280 watt unit. The RDX, has a more powerful version with 410-watts. I think Acura, needs to bring out a 600 Watt version of the ELS and my god make sure they fix those door speaker issues on the 09'

Won't accept radio anti theft code for 2002 3.2 TL by joeforgreen

I have disconnected the the battery to charge it or work on electrical problems in my 2002 3.2 TL. After reconnnecting, I enter the anti theft code number for the Nav System and it came back to life. However the code number I enter gets rejected by the radio. I have to re-enter the code 40 to 50 times before the radio accepted the code. This time, I have tried over 70 tmes with no luck. The dealer confirms the code number is correct. Is there a trick to get the radio to accept the code? Has anyone seen and solved this problem?

Are you sure it's from the speakers? Take a look at this link:

I used memorex and other brands in my former 05' TL and it worked fine. I don't recall ever using Hewlett Packard though. That's weird........

MP3 CD on 07 w/ NAV by mikeyj1

I just got an 07 TL with NAV this weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to change the items that are displayed on the main lcd screen, when listening to MP3 cds.

Currently it just shows the file name, and I would like it to display the Artist and Song Title. If I hit the display button, I am able to see the Artist info in the top screen on the dashboard, but I would like to change it on the main lcd also.

Thanks
