No Thanks, I think Scion (Toyota) makes great product, but they do not have anything that comes close to the Eclipse. That's why the Eclipse has been the #1 selling import sports car for the last 14 years! Still selling strong yet Toyota discontinued the Celica because it couldn't sell next to the Eclipse.

P.S. (Mitsubishi's biggest problems were as a result to extend credit to people who weren't "creditworthy" with other manufacturers criteria. They got burned for a lot of money. That is in the past.)

Thats very truth. No one has said that Toyota's Scion TC are bad....just simply more of the same. Tons of cars in this category have come and go....( Celica, Prelude, MX-6, Cougar, etc) and the only one sucesfull is the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Its just simple profiling....Toyota's are being flooded with recalls and defects but people still see's them as the best. GM is improving alot... but people's perception of GM is crap. Remember Hyundai in the early 90's??? Not the same case now. Some people still see them as bad which is far from the truth. Mitsubishi cars are very good, and with each redesigned model they improve even more. Reliability ranges from above average to excellent based on consumer's reports. Just like Hyundai....it will take some time to shake out that image from their financial situations. And like before was mentioned.... its all in the past now. Move on!

P.S. (I went to Sport Mitsubishi on Orlando FL 2 days ago and i saw the new 07 Galant Ralliart in black..... that baby look mean!!)

Are fog lights available on the '07 Eclipse by drinkingstar

I currently own a 1990 Plymouth Laser ( aka Eclipse). I regret not getting fog lights with it. I am looking to buy another sporty coupe hatchback. The Acura RSX & the Scion tC have them but I can't seem find find fog lights listed as standard or as optional equipment on the Eclipse hatchback. Is it available ?

They came on my '06 GT and if you look at the Mitsu website, I do believe it states the '07 GT comes with fog lamps too.

Oh and may I just say that the Acura RSX isn't nearly as fun and doesn't appear to be as quality as the Eclipse. I took a Type-S for a test drive and it just didn't quite live up to the Eclipse GT especially considering I was going to have to pay more for the Acura.

That's so biased.. everyone knows Elcipse is not anything close to a Celica or a Prelude. Celica has way better handling, better gas mileage, better reliablility and same goes for the Honda. The Tc isn't as good as the Celica was but it has its values. The eclipse starts at $19,000 and the TC starts at $17,000. There is no comparison, the Tc starts with 17 inch allow rims, dual-panel sunroof, pioneer CD/mp3, driver knee airbag, 4-wheel ABS, EBD, brake assist, and TPMS. The Eclipse offers hardly anything of that. Now I'm not bashing Mitsubishi. Everyone knows the Lancer is a bargain performance race car. Eclipse are just not in the league.

You cited Consumer report for reliablities.. so I'm assuming you order it? I don't know where you are getting your info from. Every manufacturater has recalls, it's not like Mitsubishi never has any. Toyota is still by far (along with Honda) the leaders. Mazda and Mitsubishi are still not there. Mitsubishi is in fact, ranked under Hyundai in terms of reliablity.

Overall, eclipse is not a bad car. I'm just saying the spending the extra $2000 and have LESS things is not worth it.

Go with the TC I love my new car.. I would not trade it in for anything. I love eclipse but only the 98 versions.. The TC is sporty and has plenty of options... I am not fond of having cars that everyone else has, hence I got extras. They make these cars to customize them to the owner!
