I finally got my Versa - SL, Super black, splash guards, floor mats, CVT, ABS. I also got the charcoal interior. I noticed that, the plastic coverings on the pillars from the dashboard up, along with the headliner and sun visors are beige. Does anyone else with a charcoal interior have the same thing? I don't know if this is a manufacturing error or intentional.

Replying to: ttintin (Sep 15, 2006 6:06 am) I wanted ABS from the start since I've had it on my last two cars and it has definitely helped more than once in the New England winters. I also did not want the convenience package - I'm not big into sat radio, my company pays for my cell phone so I take whatever they give me (read no blue tooth), the intelligent key didn't do much for me - so in essence I would be paying $700 for a leather steering whell with volume controls built in. It seems like a solid car so far. I find the drive by wire and the CVT feel "different" and this morning I was cruising at about 70 mph and about 2k on the tach. My old boat gas guzzler revved higher than that at 70. I;ve been following these thread for a while so I will definitely be weighing in on the MPG forum once I have some data.

Replying to: sngwrtr (Sep 15, 2006 6:36 am) I'm glad you're liking your new Versa. I hope the MPG will be satisfactory for you, because it seems like some people are a just a tad bit ticked off. Would you mind my asking approximately how long you had to wait for your Versa to come in (after being ordered)? I also ordered one, too, but it was very recent (about 2 weeks ago), so I'm in for a long wait.

Replying to: ttintin (Sep 15, 2006 8:57 pm) If I had wanted Blue Onyx or White Powder with CVT, mats, splash guards, and convenience package (no ABS) I could have bought one on July 15 or almost any date thereafter from some dealer around Mass. They all seem to have those in stock. I have heard conflicting stories about the ABS availability - one is that ABS is standard on the SL in Canada so most of the empahsis on producing ABS equipped vehicles is for that market. Who knows???

I was also originally quoted 6-8 weeks when I ordered mine, and I pretty much ordered everything on mine (including the audio package and sunroof package that no one else has seen). But your delivery time eases my worries a bit. |
