#2 of 9 Electrical/Electronic Problems by heba

I love the driving performance, handling and styling of my 645ci. However, I am having major electrical/electronic problems with the car that affect the navigation, i-Drive, all door and trunk locks and all memory settings in the car. BMW is unable to fix it, even though they keep replacing parts and have kept the the car in the shop for nearly a month in the 6 months I have owned it. Unfortunately, I am now seeking legal recourse...

I have same issues, I just bought a used 2005
I've only had it one month and several times the entire display area wouldn't work-no stereo, nav, etc..Then about 50% of the time I get an error like "can't read disc" on the nav??

Hi Reba,

I just purchased a 2005 645 on January 7th and the dealer said that there was a recall on the electrical system. I took the car in on February 7th, a month later and today-February 8th, the car was suppose to be ready. The dealer called and said the test on the system failed so they are trying something different and need to keep it longer. The idrive with the navigation and the stereo would get stuck sometimes and the navigation doesn't keep up with the streets as you're driving. What is happening with yours?

#6 of 9 654ci performance chips by SRTOIC

Hello,
I'm a new BMW driver/owner. I just love the dealership statements about how all preowned Bimmers have received this 130 point inspection..... yea right. As I've learned through my life with any pre-owned vehicle I had the vehicle checkout by a mechanic that I paid to inspect. No major problems, but I did have a drift to the left as well the a/c fan stayed on after the car was turned off, running the battery down screwing up the onboard idrive system.
Ok so after 3 return visits my car now is running like a champ I'm happy.
What I am interested in is adding a performance chip other then Dianan. I know you get what you pay for. So what I'm asking is there any other company that has a chip that is not so costly.
Any advise is greatly welcomed.

Hi, We are having a problem with the heated seat adjuatment on our 645. When we first got the car, there was an adjustment in the i-drive for this. Now it's gone. The dealer tells us that we never had it. Does anyone know anything about this? Help please...

if your mileage is low enough it may still be under warranty
