The '06 WRX gets upgraded 4-caliber front brakes. I believe these brakes require 17" wheels, which are now standard on the WRX, but still optional on the 9-2X. This leads me to believe that the 9-2X Aero did not get the same WRX brake upgrade.Another possibility (assuming that 4-caliber brakes would work with 16" wheels) is that the name "SUBARU" is cast onto brake caliber, and the cost of removing that just might be too great.

Maybe the Sport Package includes the new upgraded brakes, along with the 17" wheels and HIDs?
