Strangely enough, the cruise control on the 04/05 Toyota Camry is identical in appearance and in the same location in the Spectra and those Toyota owners complain about hitting knees on it. Put it in the steering wheel. Electric seats are great but the biggest improvement in the seating area is making the bottom cushion longer for better thigh support and providing more lateral support. The reason they put the latches in the trunk area is because one usually loads long objects from the rear of the car. You'll get wet anyway if it's pouring rain. A downpour usually speeds one up considerably.

I'd love it if Kia made a Spectra3. Just take the 5 chuck 2 doors, shorten it a bit and I'm in love.
