Replying to: grayhawk (Mar 06, 2009 6:21 pm) I had the same problem. MAke sure that the plastic moulding and rubber weather strip is pushed all the way down. Oil ( i used w d 40) the heck out of the catch on the rear hatch and the catch. make sure all is clean. That seemed to work for me and had to be done on a regular basis. It was something I had to live with. i did not have the motor replaced.

Replying to: pgroeger (Sep 20, 2007 5:25 pm) my 05 maxx just started doing this a few days ago. i took it to the dealer and there were 13 error codes but they could not find the problem. they replaced driver front turn signal because it was out and said that could have caused some kind of short?? my car has stalled twice since. now i have to take it back. Its pretty frustrating

Replying to: kitabug21 (Jul 03, 2009 4:32 pm) It ended up having to replace the ebcm thats located right in front of the windshield washer filler neck. Since then I haven't had that problem. At least not sofar!!!! Just keeping my fingers crossed. I got lucky in that it was still under warranty. That ecm was pretty expensive.

Replying to: grayhawk (Mar 06, 2009 6:21 pm) Hey, went through this for some while... very sporatic at first until finally never opening. I replaced the actuator to only have the same results. Took that back and tried swapping the mini relay out with the one for fuel... Bingo. went to local dealer and purchased new relay and works like new. Worth a try.

Replying to: 2tired (Oct 13, 2009 5:11 am) not sure about the 06.. but in the 04 you had to remove the headliner to access the mechanism......I have simply left mine retracted as they never stayed closed or latched.......assume you are out of warranty now?? Replying to: pao (Oct 22, 2009 3:57 am) I bought it used just two weeks ago. The very first time I tried to use the shades they both stayed open and wouldn't retract. The dealer agreed to supply the part, if I looked after installation. It's such a cheap design I decided to just cut them off and leave the sunroof that way. The rest of the car is well designed though.
