Regular vs Premium gas - what's the consensus?

Replying to: maxcattum (Nov 17, 2006 11:35 am) I know plenty of people that put regular in their Discos and the only consequence seems to be a tiny drop in MPG. Try it out for a few tanks and see how your mpg drops. The knock sensor will retard timing if necessary so that should protect your engine. If you are going to tow or use the Disco off-road you should put premium in it as you are straning the engine more.
