Thermometers cost all of about 10 bucks. 2: If they really are like sitting over an open flame (a prefered sport in some parts of L.A., I recall) then by all means SOUND AN ALARM. Warn the feds, post a press release finding this dangerous device! Of course, this is not the case. The seat warmers are not dangerous, they are just hot. So hot for warmish L.A. that those goofy wannabe sitcom writers/edmunds reviewers just have to unload their bag of so-darn-funny! overstatements to the mix. How slow is a v6 powered Lucerne? Slow enough to get overtaken by the milk wagon!!! Oh ho ho ho! Stop it, you're killing me!!!! Says me: Well, how slow is a v6 Lucerne. Why not test the thing? It's probably about as slow as a regular old standard issue Camry, or about two seconds FASTER to 60 than a Prius, but we'll never know.. Sorry to be in a bad mood, but the Lucerne reviewer has some legitimate cripes to discuss (mpg, turning radius), but they get clouded by the sheer lameness of the review. I won't waste any more time here. Over and out.

In the past when I've tried looking up the names of reviewers they seem to be freelancers who had written for other places and Edmunds used a review. Does Edmunds have dedicated staff reviewers who represent typical drivers and buyers? I noticed my seat warmer got nicely warm on a moderate Ohio morning today compared to when it's 25 outside. I just turned the switch to low and continued to drive in my seats that are infinitely more comfortable than the Accords I test drive. |

The writers were looking for something to make a headline since they didn't like the idea of a Buick appealing to a certain group of buyers. Not learning to use the "low" button on the seat warmer if the "high" button is too warm for their wonderful climate is an example. If doing something causes pain, don't do that again is a doctor's advice for some ailments! But that didn't fit the goal for Edmunds. Amazing the consumer commentary page in their review lists three paragraphs that indicate its a car a typical driver wants. I recall an edmunds editor who had a discussion group and was very clearly interested only in cars that thrill for power and cornering. Ultimate was that he tested a Ford GT. Perfect for his style of driving. Most of us aren't interested in GTs. |

As we read this review about the Lucerne consider the following: 1. Why didn't they test a CXS? 2. What kind of models were the Azera and the Avalon? 3. They mentioned the Lucerne was quieter than the Lexus, but what about the speed? It was probably faster than the Lexus, but that wasn't mentioned. 4. Why has Edmunds pulled its user reviews, in which Lucerne had a very rating by people who have purchased the vehicle? 5. On the headline page for forums, why is Buick the ONLY brand not listed where it says choose discussion? 6. Why has Edmunds not written anything about the LaCrosse Super, which they reported was supposed to be shown on March 28th? Today is April 4th. 7. Why didn't they mention Buick's quality rating? It is significantly higher than Hyundai and above Toyota.

| They complain about a top notch HK audio system at $800 but do not say a word about the Levinson system (same company as HK) at $1600 ($3100-$1500 for the navigation system) in a Lexus ES. | |
