I actually haven't had it checked out yet and am driving it as is. Did you get yours fixed? If so, what did they say it was and what did it cost you?

The problem is the pollution control computer, I have a 2001 sebring and would just die no codes nothing. Dealer insisted nothing was wrong and acted like I was nuts. They did work with me had to leave it there for 2 Weeks , They would start it every day and finally repeated the problem, They never catch because it clears the code immediatly when it starts, only way to catch it is to have it under a monitor when it happens, Good news was that it has a special warrenty because it was a pollution controll comp. I had 65000 on it

I have a 1999 Chyrsler Sebring Convertible. I resolved the flooding problems by reading other posts. My car randomly stalls out while driving 60mph or while idling in traffic. I will take up to one hour or that day to restart. It has been on every diagnostic machine and nothing shows up. It will cut off in the morning, the evening or not at all for a day or so. My mechanic tells me that they can't fix what they can't find. I have a new distributor, harmonic balance, fuel pump, My car in now just sitting in my driveway because I'm afraid to drive it. You just don't know when it will cut off. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix the problem?

Sounds like a nightmare...I would look for another mechanic. I can't believe they cannot find out what the problem is. That makes no sense to me.

Check out this website http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl086i.htm I had this happen to mine a few years back and this was the problem. You have to remove the steering wheel and airbag to replace it. Not too difficult if you have worked on cars before. I think the part was about $150.00 from the dealer.

Thank you 2001_sebring, I printed out that information from the website and will bring it to my friend who works on my car. I hope this will do it. Thank again!

I have a 08 and today I experienced the same thing no wipers or turn signal and the radio kept scanning on it's own. Kinda freaked me out. Jumped out of the car and stared at it for like 20 mins. Came here looking for answers.

Did you ever find out what was wrong with your car? My 2001 Sebring convertible is now doing the same thing. I just replaced the battery and if it sits more than 1 day the battery is dead. I had a local garage keep it for a week trying to find something but no luck.

Yes - it turned out to be one of those "parasitic drains" you might have read about. In my case it was the fuse that controls the radio and interior lights. I'm sure there is a better way to fix it, but I just installed a switch that controls that fuse. I only turn it on when I'm using the car. Otherwise, the fuse is cut off from the battery. My friend had to go through the fuse box one by one and pull them while measuring the battery charge to figure out where the problem was coming from. Hope this helps.
