I am having a very difficult time finding somebody that will give me an answer on where to have my convertible window fixed. We didn't touch the window, and it simply broke into hundreds of glass pieces in my car.   I'm reluctant to take it to a dealership in San Diego, as ALL the Chrysler dealerships have bad ratings from consumers.   I love this car, but should have done more investigation before purchasing. Replying to: cheriey (Nov 13, 2009 5:25 pm) I had an 1986 Lebaron convertible and the window shattered. I replaced it with a plastic window (no redefogger). I had to go to a custom shop to have the work done. It cost approximately $300 to have it done. The plastic was sewed to the canvas convertible top. Plastic is O.K if you don't need the rear defogger and don't want to worry about a glass window shattering again. Good luck.

Replying to: menyou1 (Dec 04, 2009 12:11 pm) I did not get an answer...but taking a hint from another post...i put some Velcro in the actual cavity (where the pin fits into as weel as a couple of pieces around the outside of that cavity...took the car on the roads around my house where the rattles were most present and guess what..it works.....   now I ( and my b-in -law who also has one) have to find out how to correct where the issue where a portion of the top where it connects to the rear window is pulling away....

Replying to: menyou1 (Dec 04, 2009 12:26 pm) thanks me too but I did not see an adjustment...the black Velcro really works and one can really not see it as an appearance detractor...and , in any case, the absence of noise is worth it..in my case we has some circular pieces of sticky back Velcro the is used to hang pictures and other objects.....I just cut them into halves and placed inside the cavity where the top pin fits..with of course the soft side out....and to ensure that there was not "bumping" from around the pin I placed a couple of pieces on the top of the cavity...works. fine   will try the super glue on the top
