Pad and Rotor replacement alternatives? by queballmini

I'm an auto idiot but I need pad and rotor replacement on my 2006 S. I can't really afford the dealer price and I'm wondering if using a "discount" service - like a Brakes Plus- would be possible or if it would be harmful to my car?

It depends. If they are ASE certified mechanics and they don't use cheesy brake parts, then probably okay. But if they put cheap junk parts on your car in order to offer low pricing, that's not such a good idea.
