The "clear bra" as they are called is pretty decent in protecting the paint. They aren't hard but rather soft to absorb the impact of stones etc. Just don't put em on the lights as they can and will get brittle from the headlights heat and get burn spots.
I would also get it professionally installed. It really looks BAD when done by a non-pro.

Speaking of protection, has anyone found a place that sells door edge molding that will fit on the Tribeca Doors?
I'm looking for something to go on the door edge like my Accord has, protects when the door swings wide, the rear doors on the Tribeca have a particulary sharp edge.
Body color would be nice (diamond grey for me)..

I'll answer my own question, a site called Brandsport sells door edge guards in two types and various colors. I'll try one to see if it works with the door, there is a stick-on style that hopefully can contour to the door edge, which is not particularly flat.

Please let me know how this works out. A year ago I had 2 dings removed. Today I now have 3 more!!!! I'm tired of this. Maybe it will help a little.

if dings in your door are the issue, look at body side molding, I found aftermarket kit at mycarworx.com , they have color match and just matte black. I haven't put it on yet, but that would help avoid people dinging your door.

Here are some pictures of the Tribeca door moldings I bought. I had a guy come out to first fix the dings that were in my doors then he applied these easy moldings. Hopefully they'll keep the dings away. They don't look too bad either!
Hopefully these pics will come up

What stands out to me are those mesh grille inserts - very nice with that black.

I suspect those will help for larger vehicles, but not the smaller ones where the contact point is low on your Tribeca's door. I cannot quite tell if there is a factory-mounted strip low on the door panel, but if not, you may end up with dings continuing in that area. It looks nice, though.

Thanks for the compliments. I put those moldings where I'm always getting dings. From big SUVs!!!
This was my second time I've had to get ding removal and they are always high up. Seems like everyone here in South FL loves big old cars.

You should be good to go, then! I notice that trucks and (large) SUVs tend to be the door-ding culprits around here (Alaska) as well. Those of us who drive small cars are far more considerate.
