The Lexus RX has them and that's the best selling vehicle in its class and also Lexus' best selling model.

I don't like 'em either, but some folks clearly do.

Well if you dish it out, you have to be able to take the criticism, so I am always willing to take the heat if someone has a differing opinion than I!

Do you really think that the Lexus RX buyer really cares that much? I mean this is lexus, aka toyota. I'm willing to bet that less than 15% of the owners even know they have clear tail lights on it.

I own a Toyota and I'd care.

Not that it would be a deal breaker, but I don't really like 'em.

Like you said, if you dish it out, be ready for a response.

But you aren't a typical Toyota/Lexus owner, you actually care if the car has a soul.

Not in the people mover. For the rest of our fleet, yes.

I have my Miata, wife has her Subaru, and then the kids pretty much own the van.

There you go. So if the mini-van had altezzas you wouldn't know or care. That's very typical of the demographic of folks buying Toyotas. I believe the Tribecca fits this mold to a certain extent, at least more-so than other Subarus.

Heck there are some Toyota non-car folks that I know who weren't sure if they had a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord when I asked what they drove!

It would not be a deal-killer on any car I was going to buy.

I care more about how it drives, not how it looks!

Edit: in the case of the van, how it rides, more so than how it drives.

Tribeca Arm Rests by slance66

We just bought an almost new demo 2007 Tribeca. I like almost everything about it so far, and the build quality and fit an finish are quite a bit above the competition.

My wife drives this car and has one major complaint, the arm rest on both sides is useless. Here arms (and mine when I drive) don't even get anywhere close to the arm rests. What the hell was Subaru doing and does anybody have any suggestions on fixes? I fear that driving this car may lead to a lot of fatigue as a result.
