1. Better lighting (i.e. optitron) of the dash and guages like most under $20K Japanese cars have. It's a shame that a $30K-$40K car such as this does not offer this. 2. Split folding rear seats 3. Kill the ash tray and replace it with a storage area for CDs. 4. Offer the better (i.e. firmer) suspension that's available in the V8 to the V6 models, especially with gas at $4 a gallon. 5. Kill the lame port holes 6. Offer a darker colored leather in the V6 models. The very light tanned leather looks like it will get dirty easily. |

| I want Buick to pay attention to my complaint of sudden engine failure on interstates with our 2006 Buick Lucerne. My letter to GM's CEO was received by GM on July 10th at 2:51 but no reply has been received by today. Five repair departments have been involved-the two recurrent problems -one above plus four episodes of not starting or even cranking seem to keep involving the wiring harness. Two repair depts genuinely felt they "fixed" the problem and we trusted them at first. Now we are involved with the original dealer who is fluffing us off-this car is a major hazard to us and others. We want a fair resolution. Suggestions beyond notifying BBB and NHTSA as stated in the manual is needed. We have an over $30,000 car sitting in our garage-useless because I am terrified to drive it on the highway. | |

I chose the Buick Lucerne as my business car and have only two major complaints. Both are simple design flaws: I am on the road a lot and usually have a beverage while driving. The front seat cupholders are too shallow to hold a large cup of coffee in place when cornering. Ouch...A large cup of Starbucks really burns! When the windows are rolled down even a crack when it is raining, water rolls off the top and pours into the car onto the door instrument controls, front seat and me. |

How come nobody has asked for better lighting on the gauges? Can others read the gauges when the lights are on "auto" and you are heading into the sun or wearing sunglasses or both? Is there an available fix for this? Is that why it is not being mentioned here in this blog?
