Article comments for Full Test: 2005 Honda FCX - After about 20 seconds of beeps, whirs and strange groans, the display panel flashed "Ready to Drive." I slid it into gear and pulled onto the hydrogen highway. This is great and all, but we could be driving zero emission electric vehicles NOW, and not be waiting for hydrogen vehicles which may never come. Doesn't make a lot of sense, the Honda EV car was being made and sold 10 years ago, and with todays battery technology it could easily get 200-300 mile range without all the problems that hydrogen poses such as storage and the infrastructure to fuel these cars. "Who Killed The Electric Car?" is a good movie on this topic.
