Just a note to let everyone know how the 2003 S2000 holds up in a real life roll over crash. I just rolled the car this past friday in a interstate hydroplane accident. We went into the ditch and fliped the car landing on the top driver side windshield. Busted the front glass and driver side glass. We both walked away from the accident okay. I received some stiches in the head from the roof support hitting me in the head but not to bad considering how bad things could have been. Wear your seat belts!! I would get another if they can not fix it. Great to be here. JT

In the case of the NSX, any frame damage whatsoever resulted in a "totalled" car, as Acura did not authorize any re-bending of the frame or repairs that would in any way violate it's factory integrity. I would also check into better tires for the S2000. My 2002 came with Bridgestone Pole Position S02's and they hydroplaned quite easily. My 911S is much, much more stable and steady in the rain, not to mention it has stability control. Glad to hear you came out of it reasonably intact. The S2000 is a hell of a well built car, but I'm still not sure I would be hoping they fix yours. And the new ones have stability control.

I agree with Habitat, any stucture damage should be considered totaled. i had 98 M3 and had a pretty good wreak, but they didn't total. It drove crappy at any thing above moderate driving, after the wreck. MidCow |
