Hi Mariah,
Not "offensive"...just typical, rhetorical, bureaucratical "Customer Service" uselessness.
People come here to see if other's are having the same (or similar) problems ... find the answers (solutions) to their problems and to see how to go about fixing them. All this has been addressed from the beginning of this thread since i started it on Sep 24, 2006, and pretty much now the issue has been diagnosed, answered and repaired by everyone.
Now 3 1/2 years later, you chime in with "call your dealer to diagnose it"
Your rhetorical:
"....contact this number: Customer Communication Centre:
...speak to an agent who will most likely tell you to take it to the dealership to have it diagnosed..
Have you taken the vehicle to the dealership to have it diagnosed?
...we can have one of our agents look into the situation for you. They are going to request that you take the vehicle to the dealership to have the issue diagnosed.
I will document your concern and pass that along to GM., blah, blah, blah..."
....is too little/too late.
I know you're just doing your job, but hands-on knowledge of this problem has already been discussed here and it is now pretty much a "dead issue".
I think your services could be used and much more useful somewhere else..... (possibly the beginning posts of a new problem in a NEW thread?)

Looks like you can add me to the list of people who have their gauge stop working. I have an 2007 Envoy with 41000 miles on it. Just filled it up from being empty and the gauge and light have not shut off. I do not want to spend hundreds on this problem since it is out of warranty and numerous people are having issues.

Mariah,
Do you have any info. on TSB:
#99-07-30-022A Info - Shift Stabilization and Tow/Haul Mode Feature for Hydra-Matic 4L60-E/4L65-E and 4L80-E/4L85-E Transmissions - (Jun 5, 2003) ????
I think I've narrowed an intermittent "whine" down to the Tow/Haul Mode Feature on my 2000 Envoy, VIN.- 1GKDT13WOY2234397.
If you could elaborate on this TSB #, that would be great since you might have access to inside knowledge?
Thanks in advance,
jon

I got online hoping to find help with my driver's side door's "power" not working and wow, I can't believe that a lot of the issues I've been having with my 06 envoy, so many others have been having. I was hoping and assuming the lack of power to the door was due to rain yesterday. No, it didn't get completely soaked but did get some light rain. Now that's the least of my worries. I, too, have been having issues with our gas gauge all of a sudden not working. Fill it up and it goes on E. Been doing this for about 3 weeks now; guess I'll try the new gas cap. Because I can assure you I will not be suckered into buying a new one when all I have to do is reset my tripometer every time I fill up; granted it's a royal pain but it beats forking over $500+ for something so many others are having issues with. And my service stabilitrack light comes on at times but goes off when I restart the truck. Man, this is very frustrating. I love my truck but after stumbling upon this site and seeing that so many are having the same issues, makes me wonder how much is just "little" things...seriously!

My 2000 Envoy door window switch had the same problem. I cleaned the switch (actually I just removed it and reinserted it) and it cured everything. Just clean the switch with some electrical contact cleaner.

thanks Jon, I'll try that. And I'm going to sound like an idiot but where would I find electrical contact cleaner? And you're talking about popping off the control panel, right? where the buttons to control everything is at, right? I popped it off last night and just let it hang, hoping it will dry, if that is the problem. But it's like my door has absolutely NO power, at all.
Thanks again

Electrical cleaner= auto parts store/spray can..or try WD-40 first.
Yes, pop the button(s) off and spray in behind them AND where they plug into, to get a good contact. If it's gotten wet over time they tend to corrode and the connections become bad/intermittent.
