Have you driven the TL? After a 10 minute test drive I quickly scratched it off my list. It felt small, and did not have the stable feel of the G35. The shorter wheel base contributes to a less sports car feel and I felt the fit and finish were way behind the G35.

CTS has the advantage of being RWD like the G35. But it's going to be 7-8K more expensive at a minimum once equivalently equipped. That said the 08 CTS is a really nice car, definitely superior to the 07. I just didn't feel the value of the car (price vs. what you get) equaled the G35.
The TL is FWD. Above everything else I couldn't get past that with the TL.
FWIWs, I drove a BMW 328i, a Cadillac CTS, a Lexus IS350, the G35, an Audi A4, an Acura TL and a Saab 9-3 Aero in the same weekend.
It should be obvious by now that I chose the Infiniti.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Forgot to add earlier that I am looking for a vehicle that has more of a plushier ride but has a "sporty" look ( I know that its subjective).

I switched from my 04 TL to my G35x in August 07 (end of lease on the TL). I was happy with my TL except for the constant rattles (which Acura could never completely eliminate) and the piece of junk tires the car came with (Bridgestones) which I had to replace after 20K miles. When I had compared the TL to the G35 in 2004 the TL won hands down from a "plushier ride" standpoint even though I thought the G35 handled better. When I test drove the 07 G I was blown away. The interior is as plush if not more so than the TL and the RWD handling blows away the TL. I have consistently been trying to push my G to its limits and have yet to feel uncomfortable - even when pushing hard. I could not say that about my TL - when pushing it hard I would start to feel uncomfortable and pull back. I find my breath is taken away by the G35 at times - today I passed someone on a major highway, looked up and was doing 100 mph - effortless and the car felt solid as a rock. As for the CTS - looks like a beautiful car and got good reviews but as others have mentioned will probably run you a few thousand more than a fully loaded G. Not sure if Cadillac has any special leasing deals to help push the car.

Which Tires are Best for the G?

I have a 2005 G35 sedan, came with Bridgestones. I'm a pretty dedicated Michelin guy, they always perform well and last a long time. I have 26K miles on my G and I've actually been satisfied with the Bridgestones. I've read many negative comments about them so I was wondering what everyone believes to be a great tire for the G?
I don't think I'll be replacing the tires before 35K miles, so I have a bit of time, just wondering what the pulse was out here regarding tires...
