Replying to: KarenS (Sep 22, 2006 7:03 am) It sounds like Southern has done most of their homework... but for one crucial item: They've crippled themselves with the Ford modular V8. Its small bore center means this engine will always need additional help to equal GM's LS small blocks, while it's overhead cams add physical size and cost. For example, GM's high end LS7 version produces 500HP naturally aspirated, while Cobra modular variant merely equals that - with a supercharger, while being heavier and externally larger.

Their website indicates they'll be using an LS2 motor, 400hp.
