UPS delivered today my Thunder Grey body side moldings that I ordered from brighttrim. They look good enough to be OEM. They're about 1 3/8" wide, one piece for each door. Directions say, for best results metal should be 75 degrees. Guess I'll have to go to my neighborhood body shop and see if they'll install them for a Jackson.

I don't think that GM will care . You probably would have been turned off for other reasons too , so they don't think that they lost a serious buyer . It would have been another story had you been coming off lease of another Cadillac .

Sounds to me that you were just looking for a reason to turn it down and continue buying the foreign junk

Well, GM is bathing in the gaze (and money) of many more serious buyers so you will not be missed.
That one has to top the list of anti-domestic frivolity this year.
Whitewalls are for older people by the way, not younger ones into "Rap" (unless they are on classic cars). Seems like you have a lot of stereotypes to overcome. You'll do well in an import.

I have heard in my gararge when I shut the car off and before the headlights go out...a high pitched whine which I thought had something to do with the lights.

It's the hard drive winding down.

Possibly one of the dumbest reasons for eliminating a purchase I have ever seen.

Well said. It takes all kinds to make a world. That's one we could do without.
