Thanks car expert--you're right; the premium package does include the red dakota leather: I left out the premium sound package for $950 ---
The deal that you got sounds really good. I am asking for 15,000 miles and my msrp is a little bit higher but at least I can use your build as a guage: maybe I can get the MSRP lower or have them pay for the taxes --
Thanks again

Thanks again flightnurse: the premium package did include the red dakota leather etc....I was forgetting about the premium sound package for $950.
The car is a 2013 xi coupe. What do you mean by does the dealer have any add-on to the car? And should I ask for a bigger discount on the car?
Thanks

Dealer add on's, like... Tinted windows, Pin stripping, nitrogen filled tires, paint protection, this are add-ons, cost the dealer next to nothing however big mark up and profit for he dealer.

You didn't get the "rare" BMW.... You posted you ordered a 330i... BMW stopped building them in MY 2006...

Hi I am in the process of negotiating a price on a 2013 328 x-drive. MSRP is $44,500 for the car as configured. What % off MSRP should I expect from the dealer. In other words, if the dealer is offering me 3% off - is that good or am I leaving money on the table. Any other tips on how I should negotiate. I would like to lowest price since my configuration is very specific and it is unlikely anyone will have this on the lot - they will need to order it.
Thank you for your advice.

"Rare No More"
My mistake, my current BMW is a 2006 330i. I ordered the 2013 335i. Thanks for pointing it out.

I think the 2006 330i is a very underrated car, good luck with the new one.

I moved to the US sometime back and due to certain issues my credit score dropped (issue was small, but since my history is very short, it affected my score by more than what its worth).
Anyways, BMW FS put me at progressive credit range(I believe that is 601-639 ouch!) and has approved me for a 30 month lease on a new 328i. (30 month as I am a foreign national and my visa expires in 34 months. i think my approval has got to do with my high income).
The quote I have right now is
2012 328i
MSRP 41 945 (premium, cold, bluetooth with bmw assist). 30 months/ 10k miles a year
7k downpayment (includes 1st month's pay), (385 per month + tax)
I believe this is a lot . Given my credit situation I want to know what's a good deal for me and what should be my number to negotiate.
I wanted to know the right lease rate or money factor for this credit tier. It is important for me to know this so that I can have the right negotiation with the dealer.
It will be great if you guys can help me out

I believe this is a lot
So what is a lot, the payments or 7K down payment?
Do not forget your credit score, affects your Money factor which I'm sure if high. The rule behind leasing is, use other people money, save some money and do not use all of the 7K. But I'm tihnking your low credit score is going to affect anything you buy...
