Had a great purchase experience at Stohlman in Fairfax. I recommend them. Anyway, I picked up a brochure on the extended warranty. I looked over the brochure and in the specifically excluded items, "hinges," "body parts'" and "convertible tops" are listed. Am I reading this correctly? If we had bought the extended warranty, the one thing that would be the biggest problem wouldn't have been covered anyway?

Hello everyone I am currently in the process of purchasing a paprika red VW EOS 3.2L with black leather interior...w/o the tech or sports packages...simply basics on the car I have been working with a VW dealership here in upstate NY near my college. Before I even negotiated, the dealer offered me the car for $35,500 and he's getting it trucked to me from Philadelphia What do you all think of the deal and color choice? Should I look or ask for something in particular? If you own a paprika red with black leather interior please post them. I chose the black interior to avoid stains from my clothes or my passenger's clothes...and overall spills and accidents in the car! Thanks so much for your help. This is a great forum! |

Hi, I have been following this forum for a while, after seeing my first EOS back in February. The info here has been invaluable in my research. I just put money on a 2.0t luxury pkg. Eismere blue, Cornsilk interior, with Dynaudio sound. Should be in dealers hands later this week. Can't wait! After many years of driving the old boat ('93 Taurus with body damage since '03). My deal may have been on the high end, from what I've seen hear. However the Dynaudio option may have contributed. I came to my dealer prepared to ask about roof leaks. He claims they have only seen one complaint from a customer who had run it through a high pressure wash. I plan on hand washing mine (with the help of my daughter, it's the only way she will get to drive it.) Thanks, I'll keep watching. |

I got my Eos (My first VW and my first German car) one week ago. Island Grey, 3.2, Luxury, Sport, Tech, DVDNav and Big Rubber Floot Mats. I only wanted Luxury package, the rest came with the only 3.2 that color they could find. Given the choice, I would never had thought to add the rest of it but I am real glad I did. Also, the 3.2 is so worth it - car has some serious muscle and, be warned! it does not like to drive slow. VW of North Attleboro, MA - wholesale +750 (I am not used to paying more than $200 over dealer cost but my salesman really worked for this one so I won't complain.), I got $500 under blue book for my trade because of high miles; again, no complaints... overall, the shopping/ buying experience was excellent - salesman was fab. I did not get the iPod attachment or the Bluetooth phone attachment done before I purchased, service wants way-to-much to do it after delivery... make sure you get dealer options negotiated at the time of purchase. Everyone with a horror story of owning a VW gone evil has shared it with me. Lots of people have complimented me on the looks and styling of it. She's running great and all the seals are tight but then it's only been a week... wish me luck. |
