Article comments for First Drive: 2007 Acura TL Type-S - What's the best way to motivate a TL Type-S back to the top of the charts? Power, baby; and the high-revving 300-hp 3.5-liter V6 doing its best to propel the too-heavy, two- wheels-too-many-driven RL would seem like a good choice, and it is. (more)

Nice review of the TL-S.

It seems that the non-navi version might sell for around 37k and 39k w/ the navi.

I wonder at what point will the dealers start coming off of MSRP for the TL-S.

I think when things settle down with the TL-S, we can expect anywhere from 3-4k difference between the base TL & TL-S. Until then, folks will probably be forking out MSRP for a while.

So is Navi an option on the Type-S? I read elsewhere where Nav was standard on this trim.

Interesting point. According to Acura.com, the Navi is standard equipment

Hello everybody. gonein60sec is correct in that sat-nav is standard equipment on the Type-S. The only choice a Type-S buyer need make is manual or automatic transmission (and you may opt out of the Potenzas). Sorry for the confusion, but navigating the so-called options (and packages) can be misleading. Thank you for reading and posting,

Anyone who is a weekend racer will tell you how non forgiving RWD is. To bad that most of us do not have professional driving skills. FWD and AWD sport sedans are something that is engineering nightmare and I'm glad that Acura engineers have enough knollege to make it hapend.
Can't wait to test drive new type S.
