I live in Ballantyne and cross over to SC for gas as well, so assumed you had to be in the same area. Just an educated guess.

I'm curious if anyone has yet installed an xm radio receiver with the factory Nav unit? Did you use the dealer to install? Can aftermarket receivers integrate the same as the factory receiver with the Nav unit? If you used another installer and brand other than Toyota who did you use and how much did it cost? Were you satisfied? Thanks for any feedback. |

Has anyone else noticed that the maps in the NAV on the sequoia seem to be a bit dated? I am running in to areas where my NAV seems to not know the roads. My wife's Nuvi shows them fine.

Our store is taking a page right out of Chrysler's playbook but seems Mr. Press got it wrong so we are making it better. As most of you know Chrysler is offering a gas card in lieu of rebates or special financing. The smart consumer will probably won't fall for it. I'm amazed the former CEO of Toyota Motor Sales USA came up with this bonehead idea. Our take on it is this: On all Limited Sequoias $5000.00 off MSRP plus a $4000.00 dollar gas card. On Tundra Limited CrewMax $4000.00 off MSRP and a $3000.00 gas card. NO CATCH NO GAMES Basically it breaks down like this: Sequoia $600.00 discount $400.00 college or military rebate $2000.00 rebate from Toyota $2000.00 owner loyalty rebate Total $5000.00 On the Tundra is the same but the amounts are different: $600.00 discount $400.00 college or military rebate $3000.00 rebate Total $4000.00 Since our objective for this month is 300 new cars we are pulling all the stops. I hope it drives traffic to the store. We have so many cars and trucks on the lot that it's becoming almost impossible to find a parking space for the employees. ! |

One of my issues with the Sequoia is the safety ratings. Front Driver - 5 stars Front Pass - 4 stars Side Front/Rear - not tested I think that rating is very weak given so many SUVs are getting 5 stars front and side (GM, Ford, Honda) these days. It seems like passive safety isn't Toyota's biggest priority. However, I do believe active safety is a Sequoia strength. If someone has a different point of view I'd like to know. This probably might be the only reason I won't buy a Sequoia.
