Same deal in the SET. Platinum excluded from all offers (APR, cash back & Leases). Glad I locked in the April 0% for 24 mths offer on my Platinum.

Hi Mack, this is really a great news!

I'm in VA but don't see any incentives for my zip code on the website www.buyatoyota.com. Can you point me to the right website? thanks.

They should be there tomorrow if not there already. Usually they are a day or two behind the dealers. We got ours this morning and I was surprised since we normally get them the second day of the month. I hope the rebates help since we are starting to run out of room to put new cars in. We are overstocked so much that employee parking spaces are now being taken up by new cars, our overflow lot is packed. If we don't have what you're looking for (other than a Pyrite red rock interior Platinum) then you don't need to buy a car!

This is a surprise, I got the car just 15 days ago and they have dropped the price, APR and lease!!

I know it is too much to expect; but is there a precedence to reneogitate a car deal?

Mack, need your help here:

I talked with my local dealer at VA, and was told that I have two options in terms of the incentives:

1. 0% for 60 months. No case back or loyalty cash.
2. $2000 cash back, plus $2000 loyalty cash.

But, my understanding is that no matter I take the 0% APR or $2000 cash back, I am always eligible for the $2000 loyalty cash. But the dealer refuse to give my loyalty cash if I select 0% APR.

Do you know what's the real case? I prefer 0% APR but definitely don't want to lost $2000 loyalty cash.

Many thanks!

They are right. It's either or. Just look at it this way. Figure out what the price for the 0% will be and what it will be with the 2k cash back and 2k loyalty rebate.

If you can get the vehicle for invoice less the 4k in rebates it may be better than the 0%. Sometimes what they will do is sell the vehicle for more if you opt for the 0%. The 0% financing doesn't do anything for the dealership. I believe they get $100.00 for doing the deal. OTOH with the rebates they get to keep them as most customers use them as cash down or to lower the price of the vehicle. Either way it usually comes out about the same in the end.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

vernschillinge -

Like you said, through trial and error and was able to locate the dealer that had the Pyrite Mica with Red Rock interior Platinum that you identified for me. It was in Atlanta and now it's in my driveway in Pennsylvania. Your advice through this buying experience was greatly appreciated!!!

Deal was invoice plus $400 plus $699 dealer fee plus tax/title registration. 0% financing.

In my opinion and my wife's opinion, the Pyrite Mica and Red Rock is a great combination. We also like the wood dash. Fender flares look great as well - gives the vehicle nice defintion and a more "rugged appearance".

Wife has a nice new Mother's Day present! Thanks again!
