#316 of 372 2002 Chevy Suburban 1500 Engine

The truck started making this weird noise yesterday that I have never heard before. As I stepped on the gas the engine sounded like it was revving up, almost like a loud fan noise. I parked it then this morning as I went to start it, it will not go in reverse. The drive seems to catch a little but in reverse it doesnt move at all..almost like its neutral. What could the problem be??

Front air is weak until I turn on the rear air - then blows much colder. Rear air seems to work fine.
#321 of 372 2005 Tahoe Air Conditioner
Oct 14, 2011 (8:36 pm)
I have a 2005 Tahoe with all the bells and whistles. The air conditioner (dual controls) in the front only blows cold air out of the vents when the Tahoe is traveling at speeds above 30 mph. At a stop, nothing comes out of vents. Sometimes if I turn the air conditioner off or on, it will work fine, but I can't count on it. The back vents blow cold air with no problem. It's 105 degrees right now. I need this thing working! Any ideas?

I had similar issue with my 2003 Suburban. My michanic (Small Garage) change Heater control valve, cost $60 parts and $70 labor. Problem is now fix.

#325 of 372 2001 Suburban, no heat in the front
Nov 21, 2011 (11:56 am)
For my 2001 Suburban, I can get heat in the back but none in the front. A/C and blower still work just no heat.
-Getting hot going in and out of the heater core so I don't think it is plugged
-Got enough coolant in the system
-Tried a new blend door actuator but that did not appear to help. While turning the temp knob, the actuator was moving but then it stopped moving. Put the new actuator on and it didn't move either.
-Went to the junkyard and got a heater control from another 2001 and put it in and still no movement with the actuator.
What the heck could be the problem? This is my wife's car and she doesn't really want a cold car in the morning. And let's be honest, if she ain't happy, ain't no one happy.
