I never had a convertible before. I just got outta college and now working. In my student life I had all used junk cars.
Now I want to buy a brand new convertible. The 2007 Hard top Miata looks great. The hard top sounds fascnating to me.
I live in Nashville,TN.
I heard friends say that Miata is a chick car, can I just ignore it? I read in the forums that 65% of miata drivers are men.

What is the best price for a 2007 Hard top sport model?
What is the waiting time?
Did anyone buy the 2007 hard top Miata? how much did u pay

prithvimds, you can ask the folks in the Mazda Miata: Prices Paid & Buying Experience about what they paid and how long they waited for delivery.

my father and i test drove a mazda miata this past summer. I am 15 and am already 6'4, i fit comfortably behind the drivers seat and on the road my head was protected from the wind. but then again i have a slightly shorter torso to leg ratio, shorter torso longer legs. But you should be fine

#29 of 75 Timeline for Delivery? by brake4me1

Once a dealer is notified that an ordered MX-5 is going into to production, how long does it take Mazda to built the car and ship it to U.S. destination?

Also, has anyone been quoted (by dealer) the DOA for a MX-5 ordered during November. From what I am hearing the wait for a new MX-5 could be anywhere from 3 to 6 months?

3-4 months is the average, if you live on the West Coast, it may be a bit sooner.

The Miata is a great car, dont let your friends get you down. My dad and i both love the car to death. Your biggest decision in buying the car would be choosing the hardtop vs the soft-top.

#33 of 75 MX-5 Front Seats by stopandgo

Nov 27, 2006 (1:08 pm)

I recently test drove a 07 MX-5 PRHT with leather seats for thirty minutes. During the drive my thigh/hip area became uncomfortable due to the design of the seat which curves upward at opposite ends of the cushion. I assume the 07 seat design is the same on 06 models, with Mazda trying to wedge the driver's posterior into the lower section of the seat cushion. Now I'm 6' tall and weigh 200 pounds. Also fairly slim in my hip/posterior area.

Has anyone else noticed seat discomfort while driving the MX-5 with leather seats? I did test drive an O6 model with cloth seats and was very comfortable. Maybe new leather seats takes a while to break in, but since I only plan to drive the MX-5 in good weather (late spring to early fall), it could take a while for that to happen.

Even eye balling sitting area makes it appear that you need to be model thin to fit in comfortably. I was really glad when I found out the new hard top has room to spare for a 6' driver, but now I've got to worry about other parts of my body. Also wondering if I should switch back to cloth seats???

I'm about your size, and noticed the same thing when I drove a GT (leather-appointed). The Touring model has cloth seats, but also has high sides. I'm planning to take a look at the seat on the Sport, but expect it to be the same. I also find the bottle holder on the door to be a little uncomfortable, but I'm pretty sure I could get used to that.

Over the weekend, I drove a VW Eos and found the seating to be very comfortable, but the car is not sporty. The Honda S2000 is comfortable, but more expensive and no PRHT. I hope you will post what you find/decide. Good luck!

Yes, I bought this car. 2007 Miata Grand Touring w/ PHTP.
I'm a guy and no its not a chick car. Its a great car and I get a lot of complements on it from both men and women but mostly other guys.
I got the stormy blue metallic.
I paid 30K (another 3K out the door).

Good Luck.
