you claim they pulled the ad off the air
The statement was "I haven't seen it since" which is distinctly different from "they pulled it off the air."

I guess you missed the part where the original poster stated:
it looks like the Mazda marketing folks got that one off the air VERY quickly.

What I can't understand: why is anyone going way back to August to rehash old material? Let's get on with current topics.

Comments please.. I read the article and have to ask about RESALE value in 4 years on each. I am guessing the Honda holds its value better?
Anyone can email me about the Santa Fe, Saturn Vue, and the Honda CRV.. I am looking at all three 2007's and I am really torn. Mileage is terrible.. warranties are not the same... eeek!.+
I am of the opinion that anybody who has to worry about the resale value of a car shouldn't be buying one new in the first place.

Spoken like someone who has never owned a Renault LeCar, Merkur XR4Ti, or Sterling 800...

I drive them forever and I look into resale - if my new car is totalled within the first few years of ownership and the resale value has tanked, I won't get as much back from the insurance company as I might with a brand that holds its value better.
Here's a good way to figure out depreciation of your projected new ride:

You might like the CX9 that is coming out at the first of the year. Same as the CX7 BUT is 15 inches longer and adds a third row of seats -- no turbo so it won't require the premium fuel either.

CX-9 is bigger and looks like an inflated CX-7... just keep in mind that under the hood it's a different animal. It has a Ford engine. Some might like that, others... well not-so-much.

The winner is a baby blue Santa Fe 2007 SE - they added leather seats for free. I traded a 2001 Ford with 65K on it that I bought used in 2001 that needed $2500 worth of work done to it (sending unit in gas tank for one).
Hence the resale value worry.
I keep cars for 5 years and tend to pay them off early (kept Hondas I owned for 6+ years and still got 5K or more in trade for them). Resale value is a fact of life if that is your down payment!
Anyway, I LOVE the car.. and I have the 3.3 and I am getting 19.5 MPG IN TOWN!!! My Ford got 16 in town (and it was a Taurus Wagon). Thanks all for the input...
Anyone have an opion on buying a "bra" for it... ?
