Replying to: ttmxer (Jul 14, 2009 10:11 am) I am thinking it was a short in wiring. Tested head unit, tested amplifier, tested CD unit, tested speakers - no dice. Tested amperage at the fuse box - it spiked intermittently high enough to cause a drain of the battery every 10 days or so. Since I knew it was in the stereo line, but just could not find it, I unplugged the fuse to the stereo when I was not using the car. Drove it that way for 2 years, no problem.

I have electrical cluster problem on 2000TT. I had alternator and battery fixed 10 mos ago by foreign motor garage but they now say I have to do to dealer. I can travel if someone has had this fixed in the general area. Thanks |
