Edison, NJ

I've been banging my head the last few days any one familiar with how the lease payments are broken down ? Depreciation Fee , Finance Charge and Sales Tax Right ? I used the lease calculator to double check my #'s. My most recent quote was for 36/12/ $ 462.16 1319.66 due at sign( 1st month $462.16+262.50 DMV+595 Bank Fee( Gap Ins)

MSRP: 37,410
Quote: 34,295
52 % residual (19,453)
.00072 MF

When I calculate myself and check using the Lease calculator on Line I come up with $ 482.55 doesn't make sense that they qouted me these #'s and they come up with a lower month/pymnt then I did.

Same on my first qoute
468/36/12k

MSRP: 36,695
Quote: 34,014
56% residual ( 20,549) ??? Why I don't know how they were able to show this all others were 52%
 .00072 MF

They show a payment of 468 I came up with 442.24 I'm not sure where I'm getting beat on this one ?

Maybe they put in the acquisition fee somewhere. I believe that's about 715..if i put that into the spreadsheet with the rest of your numbers, i get approximately what they quoted you....the link to the spreadsheet is below:

I just told you I'm paying $25 less a month with $150 less out of pocket than your offer. Does your offer seem fair to you?

$443/36/12K/Tech - $1,530 out of pocket

Thanks for all the info shared on this board.

I just drove my 08 RDX with tech package off the lot. Here's the details of my deal:

Sales Price $32,357
Acquisition Fee $595
Prepaid Maintenance $500
Gross Cap $33,452
Out of Pocket $1,679
Monthly with Tax $437.35
36 months/12,000 miles

I am wondering what others are getting quoted on excess miles cents per mile. Is 20cents/mile too much?

Nice deal. What dealership and where did you secure the deal? Also, what does the prepaid maintenance cover?

This is in N. CA Stevens Creek Acura in San Jose. The prepaid maintenance includes sythetic oil change every 3000 miles or as needed by the vehicle and tire rotation. When I left, the sales rep said he would love my referred business but just don't tell them the deal I got.

I have leased for the last 7 years and just purchased a RDX. Initially I considered leasing. My advise is to ALWAYS negotiate extra miles. Both of my leases were for 15K/miles per year. The dealer makes their money at the end when people go over their miles. I have heard horror stories about being over mileage. Negotiate the extra miles up front. It will save you a world of headache at the end.
BTW I got the RDX with tech package and love it.

tpav1: Who did you work with at Acura 101 West? I got a quote from them for:

Sale: $32,529
Term: 36 mo
Down: $2,500 incl all fees
Residual: 51%
Money: .00082
Payment: $457

Much higher than your quote and not sure how their math adds up.

RDX advertised lease special by tdubsdenver

I am interested in an RDX lease, don't need the tech package. I have bought/leased a few cars, but would still consider myself very much a novice.

They are nationally advertising a deal for $2499 due at signing, $399/mo., plus tax/title. This is for 10K miles/month.

When they advertise a deal like this, is it possible to negotiate below it? What should I be working on (i.e., am I trying to get them to bring the total price of the car down to something below invoice, or just reduce the monthly payments, or what?). For instance, could I tell them I wanted the same deal, but based off of Edmunds TMV pricing?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
