I'd be interested to hear too.
As for the racing, apparently there's already internet-available instructions on how to turn off the "always on" traction control.

I haven't rented one YET, but did check with Hertz in Las Vegas.
Must be 25 yrs old
$190.00 per day
40 cents per mile after 75 miles
Pre-rental and Post-rental inspections
Must prove out-of-town residency, (no locals)
Sounds pretty steep if you ask me.

Looks like California will do it for $130/day w/100miles free. I am trying to get confirmation of details from hertz now.
Hertz says this:

One month ago I rented the Shelby GT-H for $150 and change. That included unlimited miles on a one day rental. The car is awesome. I had a blast. I rented from the San Jose Airport in California. Let's put it this way, you can go ahead and tear it up in that car. I was not charged.
When I saw the previous postings, I knew I had to join and let you all know. Good hunting.
