Replying to: john_324 (Aug 24, 2006 6:42 am) I haven't rented one YET, but did check with Hertz in Las Vegas.   Must be 25 yrs old $190.00 per day 40 cents per mile after 75 miles Pre-rental and Post-rental inspections Must prove out-of-town residency, (no locals)   Sounds pretty steep if you ask me.

Looks like California will do it for $130/day w/100miles free. I am trying to get confirmation of details from hertz now.   Hertz says this: The 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H Mustang has been released in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon & Washington. It is currently available in Boston, Burbank, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Orange County, Orlando, Palm Springs, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Scottsdale, Tampa, Charlotte, Nashville, Greenville, Columbia, Charleston SC, Savannah, Indianapolis, Cleveland & Raleigh.

One month ago I rented the Shelby GT-H for $150 and change. That included unlimited miles on a one day rental. The car is awesome. I had a blast. I rented from the San Jose Airport in California. Let's put it this way, you can go ahead and tear it up in that car. I was not charged.   When I saw the previous postings, I knew I had to join and let you all know. Good hunting.   -John
