What exactly is your 2002 Camry doing in regards to navigation? Do you see the GPS icon at the top left of the screen? Do you receive turn-by-turn directions? Do you get some type of error message displayed on the screen?

Note* - 2002 Camry requires a GEN2/3 DVD map disc. The correct part number is 86271-3303X. The higher the last digit (X) the newer the disc.

Toyota Camry and Garmin GPS problems by ltd1

My Garmin c340 won't work in my 2007 Camry XLE if the power cord is connected to the 12 volt outlet regardless whether the unit itself is in the cradle of the connector cord or just being run on battery. If I disconnect the cord and reboot my unit on battery power, I can acquire a satellite fix. No help from Garmin or Toyota. What gives?

Voice Activated Nav Questions by bugman61

I just bought a new Camry, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the prompt when I press the voice button to a simple beep. Listening to the lady tell me to say my command after the beep every time I press the button is driving me crazy!

Also, does anyone know a reference that has all of the available voice commands for nav/audio/bluetooth/etc?

Thanks!

To avoid the instructions do the following:

Press the 'MENU' panel button.
Touch 'SETUP'
Scroll down to page 2/3.
Touch 'OFF' for Voice Recognition Guidance.
Touch 'OK' at the bottom right.

Once you have followed these steps no more voice prompts for state, city, street or house number when inputting an address via voice recognition.... just a beep.

The Camry is USA specification therefore a foreign disc will not be compatible due to the different operating systems.

Visit the following web address for an easy to understand online tutorial. Select the grey 'CARS' tab at the top left, then Camry.
