Replying to: bcnu (Aug 20, 2006 12:09 pm) after the service depts., the used car depts. make more money for a dealer than anything else. If your residual is only $14k, it appears your car might tickle almost $20k sold privately. The point is, why let the dealer make that money, things like low mileage Avalons should sell very easily. And then you have a few thousand that you can use on buying down the 07 lease, or you simply keep the car - at the rate you drive it it should last 15 more years!
