How do I install a new navigation DVD on a 2004 Sienna by sienna1981

I've burned the updated navigation DVD. How do I install it? Do I swap out the old DVD? If so, where is the old DVD? I mean physically in the car.

Can someone provide step by step instructions?

Thanks!

The DVD drive is located under the passenger front seat. To replace the DVD disk
access the DVD drive from the back of the front passenger seat and use a flashlight to get a better view of the DVD drive door.
There is a small slide on the drive that you can slide to the open position revealing tthe drive eject button. With the ignition key turned to the on position, press the eject button. The DVD drawer will open and you can swap out the disks.
Good Luck.

Sienna Navigation System - motion lockout by gmva1

I just purchased a 2009 Sienna w/NAV and rear entertainment system. I was not aware that when the vehicle is in motion many features of the NAV are locked out for both the driver and passenger. While I can understand the legal reasons why this decision was made, I am very unhappy that my wife cannot fully control the NAV system to search for places to eat while we are moving. I hear there are other limitations to the Bluetooth calling capabilities but haven't learned the extent or reasonableness of them.

We agonized over spending the extra money on this option so I am writing to help make buyers aware of this limitation so that they can make an informed decision as to whether it is worth the additional money for the NAV system. I wish I had done a little more research before buying. This limitation certainly seems worth mentioning in the main Edmunds review.

I could not agree more (and I didn't even buy NAV).

They could use the passenger seat occupant sensors to determine that an adult was sitting there to even turn off that "safety" feature.

Ridiculous.

One thing she can do is turn on the restaurant icons so they appear on the map. Then scroll around and touch an icon to find out what it is or to set a destination to it.

Will you sell a copy of the hybrid disk as the Siennaclub site is no longer valid?

Our Navigation system is showing that we are in Oregon, but we are actually in Las Vegas NV, any help on how to switch it or reset to our actual location? We have a 2007 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited, thanks!

There is a MAP section for your GPS. You must have Section 1 of the MAP section selected (Or, Wa, Id). You need to switch to Section 2 (Ca, Nv.) Goto DEST on your GPS. You will see a Map of the US, with the upper left section probably highlighted (Or, Wa, Id). Pick Change and switch to US2 for California, Nevada. You have to do these steps everytime you physically move from an area in the US that is not covered by your present Map area. Hope this helps
